PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of purifying salt water rapidly and improved in durability. SOLUTION: The apparatus is constituted in the following. To perform precipitation separation rapidly, in an upstream region in a precipitation separation vessel 3 for purifying salt water, there are provided a plurality of inclined planar bodies in which laminate sheets 8 each hung by an upper support rod are supported in an inclined state by lower support rods and each of the laminate sheets 8 is kept being stretched by a suspending rod fitted to the lower end portion of the laminate sheet 8. To ensure durability of the inclined planar body, the laminate sheet 8 used in the inclined planar body is formed by interposing a mesh body 81 formed, for example, of a high strength vinylon reinforcing fiber as a reinforcing material between, for example, weather resistant and chemical resistant vinyl chloride films 82, 82.
