[Class 81 (ii)] In a hearing - appliance comprising two conduits 13, 2, to be placed in the internal and external ear respectively, and connected bv a substantially spherical fitting 1, the conduit 2 is divided by an elastic, e.g. metal wall 5, Fig. 2, into at least two chambers into each of which sound waves enter and are amplified by thin blades 9 secured at one end, which are set in vibration. An opening 3 is provided for the chamber 2<1> which communicates with the chamber 4 by two or more openings 7 in the wall 5. Alternatively, the openings 7 may be omitted and a second aperture provided in chamber 4, either beneath the aperture 3 or at the opposite end of the chamber. In the latter case the aperture terminates a horn beneath the chamber 4 and leading into it. In a modification, Fig. 5, the member 1 is divided by a wall 21. The chamber 22 has an opening 19 with a guide 20. |
