<p>The first aspect of the invention is a hand tool (100, figure 1A) comprising a motor assembly including a motor end plate (426, figure 4D), including a flange portion (428, figure 4D); a ratchet head assembly 406 comprising a slot 432 defined by a lip around a first peripheral segment of the ratchet head, sized to engage the flange portion, an aperture 436 interrupting the lip around a second peripheral segment of the ratchet head assembly, providing a keyway for assembling the flange portion into the slot; a clamshell housing (516, figure 5) comprising an inwardly protruding rib portion (536, figure 5), engaged in the aperture to obstruct rotation of the flange from the slot. Another aspect of the invention is methods for assembling or disassembling a motorized hand tool by aligning the flange portions with the apertures; after alignment, passing the motor end plate into ratchet head assembly; and rotating, moving the flange into engagement with the slot. The last aspect of the invention is a motorized cordless ratchet wrench comprised of the same as the first aspect of the invention plus a steel wave washer between the motor and the ratchet head.
