PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel composition allowing extension of a combustion range of CAI combustion to the range that cannot be achieved in conventional gasoline by understanding a property and a composition which are needed in a fuel oil composition which can be used in a load condition range in which CAI combustion is achieved. SOLUTION: The fuel oil composition for premixed compressed ignition gasoline engine is characterized in that a sulfur content is 10 mass ppm or less; 90 vol.% distillation temperature is 260.0°C or less; an ignitability index (IQI) is 25 or more; an antiknock index (AKI) is 50 or more; a CO<SB>2</SB>emission factor (CO2I) is 0.070 or less (CO2-g/kJ); and an aromatic property (Ha/Htotal) is 0.080 or less.
