PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new carbon nanotube device that has first carbon nanotubes and second carbon nanotubes having different properties from each other, which are mounted on the device. SOLUTION: The carbon nanotube device includes: an object 1 having surfaces 11 and 12 for forming the first and second carbon nanotubes, respectively; the first carbon nanotubes 101 formed on the surface 11 for forming the first carbon nonotubes; and the second carbon nanotubes 102, which have different properties with respect to the first carbon nanotubes, formed on the surface 12 for forming the second carbon nanotubes.
