The present invention proposes a method and apparatus for setting the maximum transmit power. The method includes receiving an RRC message including a user equipment (UE)-specific maximum transmit power value set by a first base station (BS) or a second BS, resetting the maximum output power based on the UE-specific maximum transmit power value, and performing uplink simultaneous transmission to the first BS or the second BS within the limitation of the reset maximum output power. The UE-specific maximum transmit power value is set for each of the first and second BSs, and is set such that the sum of the UE-specific maximum transmit power value for the first BS and the UE-specific maximum transmit power value for the second BS is smaller than or equal to the maximum output power value of the UE.
