<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational position detector which can detect the magnetic pole position and the absolute position of a rotor simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: The rotational position detector includes a rotor 1 where a plurality of permanent magnets 6a-6f are arranged along the direction of rotation so that N pole and S pole appear alternately, and a magnetism detection element 4 which is fixed to the stator 2 to face the plurality of permanent magnets 6a-6f and can detect the magnetic pole position of the rotor. The magnetism detection element 4 detects the information of a magnetic flux density which varies over one cycle during which the rotor 1 makes one revolution, from the plurality of permanent magnets 6a-6d each time the rotor 1 makes one revolution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
