PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge cap having an excellent tamper-evident property and also an excellent openability of an upper lid.SOLUTION: In the hinge cap including a cap body 1, and the upper lid 3 connected to the cap body 1 with a hinge and having an opening flange 40, and the hinge cap having a strip-like cover 50 for covering the front end of the peripheral part of the opening flange portion of the closed upper lid 3 connected to the outer surface of the cylindrical side wall 7 of the cap body 1 via a breakable weakening line and a score 51, the lower face of the opening flange 40 is located below the upper face of the top plate 5 of the cap body 1 and the lower face of the opening flange 40 is held in a non-contact state with the strip-like cover 50 in a closing state of the upper lid 3 and a locking protrusion engaged with the opening flange 40 of the closed upper lid 3 and a deformation preventing rib 60 prolonged in the axial direction so as not to be in contact with the lower face of the opening flange 40 of the closed upper lid 3 are provided on the inner face of the strip-like cover 50 and the peripheral area, in which the opening flange 40 of the inner face of the skirt part of the upper lid 3 is formed, is not engaged in the peripheral protrusion 17 of the cap body 1 while the upper lid 3 is closed. |
