PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and easily producing synthetic resin particles with a low residual monomer content. SOLUTION: The method for producing synthetic resin particles includes: a washing process of washing a wet cake of the synthetic resin particles; a primary drying process of passing a heating medium of a predetermined temperature T<SB POS="POST">1</SB>through a heating means to dry the wet cake while turning rotary vanes so that peripheral velocity of their outside circumferential edges becomes 3-20 m/sec inside a container of a drying device and performing primary drying until a water content of the wet cake becomes 0.2-5.0 wt.%; and a secondary drying process of passing a heating medium of a predetermined temperature T<SB POS="POST">2</SB>through the heating means to perform secondary drying of the wet cake while turning the rotary vanes so that the peripheral velocity of their outside circumferential edges becomes 3-20 m/sec inside the container of the drying device, and finishing the secondary drying when a difference between the temperature of the synthetic resin particles and the temperature T<SB POS="POST">2</SB>of the heating medium passed through the heating means becomes 2°C.
