The present disclosure relates to a drive connection (20) configured to be interconnected between a main driving unit (30) and a main gear unit (40) of a driving device configured to drive a chain (6) of a conveyor (4) of a longwall device. The exemplary disclosed drive connection (20) may comprise a housing (22) configured to be connected to the main driving unit (30) and to the main gear unit (40), a drive shaft (24) disposed within the housing (22) and configured to transmit torque from the main driving unit (30) to the main gear unit (40) and a chain tensioning apparatus (60). For having a compact drive connection (20), the chain tensioning apparatus may be disposed within the housing (22) and may include a worm drive interacting with the drive shaft (24).
