According to an embodiment of the present invention, a control device for controlling a display panel includes one or more controllers. The controllers processes an input image according to a paper mode control signal, compensates the processed input image according to a dimming control signal, outputs the compensated input image to a liquid crystal panel, and controls the liquid crystal panel to make the playback frequency to be variable. Until the target performance of a paper mode is met, at least one of the paper mode control signal and the playback frequency changes gradually. The present invention is able to provide an easy mode for comfortable viewing and to reduce power consumption by a liquid crystal display device to the minimum. |
