<p>Provided is a planetary gear device for a vehicle power transmission device, said planetary gear device having a carrier fitted into a case so as to be incapable of rotation in the circumferential direction and enabling the axial dimensions to be limited, and in which tilting of the carrier can be limited. The fixing position where a second carrier (CA2) is fixed to a first wall part (support wall) (16a), in other words, the support position (SP), is located within the face width (W) of a first drive gear (outer circumference output gear) (28) in the direction of the shaft center line (C), so the reaction force, in other words, the radial load, from a first driven gear (power transmission gear) (44) which meshes with the first drive gear (outer circumference output gear) (28) of a cylindrical output member (26) is supported by the second carrier (CA2), the support position (SP) of which, as determined by the first wall part (support wall) (16a), is located within the face width (W) of the first drive gear (28). Therefore, tilting of the second carrier (CA2) is limited, and the load distribution of a second pinion (pinion gear) (P2) resulting from the tilting of the second carrier (CA2) is made uniform.</p> |
