A computer peripheral device (10), which is adapted to a computer system (20) having a system-end connecting interface (210), includes a device-end connecting interface (100), an impedance unit (140) and a control unit (130). The device-end connecting interface (100) includes a power pin (110) and a ground drain pin (120). The power pin (110) electrically connects to a power source of the computer system (20) and generates a voltage level on the ground drain pin (120). The impedance unit (140) electrically connects to the power pin (110) and ground drain pin (120) of the device-end connecting interface (100) respectively and decreases the voltage level of the ground drain pin (120) optionally. The control unit (130) electrically connects to the ground drain pin (120) of the device-end connecting interface (100) and determines a USB specification of the system-end connecting interface (210) according to the voltage level of the ground drain pin (120). |
