PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce output deterioration of a picture signal in high luminance and to reduce output fluctuation of the same row pixel read simultaneously with a high luminance pixel. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a photoelectric conversion element (102) for converting light into electric charge; a transfer gate (104) for transferring the converted electric charge to a floating node; a source follower transistor (107) for outputting the electric charge of the floating node to a signal line; and a clip circuit capable of limiting the signal line to first electric charge and second electric charge when the electric charge of the signal line is output.
