Disclosed is an input device. The input device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a communications unit receiving a signal from a pointing device; a display unit which displays a pointer according to the received signal; and a control unit controlling the input device to display the pointer on a first location on the display unit when a start signal is received from the pointing device, and to display the pointer on a second location on the display unit corresponding to the received location information of the pointing device when the detected location information of the pointing device is received from the pointing device.
