The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of optimizing the displaying of content displayed on a large screen in the case of sharing content between devices having different screen ratios and a shared content displaying method thereof. The shared content displaying method comprises the steps of: determining a type of content to be shared; determining a screen ratio of a large screen device to be connected; performing a dual rendering to the terminal and the large screen device by converting the relevant content according to the determined content type and the device screen ratio; and controlling the shared content displayed on the large screen by operating the content displayed on a terminal screen by touch.
