摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a positioning system and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a positioning system capable of determining integer ambiguity within a certain range by removing the ambiguity or restricting the range of the integer ambiguity necessary for positioning if the interval between a plurality of antennas is less than a half wavelength of a communications signal or equal to or longer than the half wavelength, and a method for the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the positioning system determines the position of a terminal based on a communications signal received or transmitted between a communications device and the terminal, and includes: a plurality of antennas which is mounted onto the communications device or the terminal; and a position calculation module which calculates the position of the terminal using the phase difference of the communications signal received or transmitted between the communications device and the terminal. In order to remove the ambiguity of the integer ambiguity of the communications signal generated when the phase of the communications signal is being measured, the cycle of the communications signal or the interval between the antennas is adjusted.</p>
