<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for supplying an adhesive in an edge banding machine and, more particularly, to an apparatus for supplying an adhesive in an edge banding machine which automatically supplies an adhesive by the consumed amount to improve user convenience. The present invention, which applies an adhesive to a side surface of a transported wood panel, includes a hopper that has an inner storage space portion where a pellet type adhesive is accommodated and a discharge port that is connected to the storage space portion on one side on a lower end portion; a feeding unit that is disposed in the lower end portion of the hopper to discharge the pellet adhesive accommodated in the storage space portion to the discharge port side; a melting unit that is disposed on a lower side of the hopper to melt the pellet adhesive discharged through the discharge port, so that it flows out; a sensing unit that detects the residual amount of the adhesive which is supplied to the melting unit; a controller that controls the feeding unit according to a detection signal of the sensing unit; and an application unit that is disposed on a lower side of the melting unit, receives the supply of melted adhesive from the melting unit, and applies the melted adhesive to the side surface of the wood panel. According to the configuration described above, the adhesive is melted and supplied by the amount consumed during the application of the adhesive, and thus user convenience and efficiency of the apparatus can be improved.</p> |
