PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone relay apparatus capable of protecting security of a caller by hiding the caller telephone number to the other party. SOLUTION: In a telephone relay apparatus, when a telephone 1 originates a telephone number of a relay telephone 4 to connect the telephone 1 as the origination source to the relay telephone 4 over a first communication channel 7, a relay control part 10 searches whether the telephone number of the telephone 1 is recorded in a relay execution database 11. When the telephone number of the telephone 1 is not recorded in the relay execution database 11, the relay control part 10 does not perform relay, and when the telephone number is recorded in the database 11, the relay telephone 4 replies to the telephone 1 requesting that the telephone 1 originate the telephone number of the telephone 6 under the control of the relay control part 10. When the telephone 1 transmits the telephone number of the telephone 6 to the relay telephone 4, a relay telephone 5 originates telephone numbers of the own and the telephone 6 over a second communication channel 14 under the control of the relay control part 10, thereby, the telephone 1 and the telephone 6 are connected for voice communication.
