PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle which is convenient to perform a connection work, disconnection, and component replacement within the container body and facilitates maintenance with a handle attached or detached. SOLUTION: The handy type electric kettle is provided with: the container body 4 which includes an inner container 2 for boiling water with a heater 1; a lid 5 for closing the inner container 2, at the upper end of the container body 4; and the handle 9 at the trunk of the container body 4. The container body 4 is obtained by putting and combining a bottom portion 42 to a body portion 41 above the same from below. The handle 9 is assembled between combining portions 41a and 42a combining the body portion 41 and the bottom portion 42 of the container body 4. Thus the problem is solved.
