PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat heater and its control method capable of saving power by properly controlling the heating values of a plurality of respective heating elements, while capable of not letting a seated person experience the lowering of the warmth. SOLUTION: There are provided two or more of heating elements 31 to 35 allocated at different positions of a seat 2, and a control part 4 that controls the heating values of respective heating elements. The control part is brought to keep the heating values lowered for respective heating elements for a prescribed duration of time at respective times pre-set for respective heating elements, while, in the case of either of neighboring heating elements having its heating value lowered, and if the heating value for the other heating element is more lowered than a prescribed value, then the heating value of the other heating element is brought to be raised up to equal to or more than the prescribed value, after which the heating value of the heating element of one hand is lowered. This enables the amount of variation of warmth which the sitting person temporarily feels to be made small, thus making relatively small the lowering of warmth and unevenness which the sitting person feels, allowing comfortability to be maintained as it is.
