PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin steering device, the weight of which is reduced and the rigidity of which is also ensured. SOLUTION: When a driver collides against a steering wheel upon a secondary collision, an impact force F in the vehicle body upper direction acts on an upper column 20 and a lower column 10. Since the impact force F in the vehicle body upper direction is primarily supported by a steel upper side mounting bolt 62 and upper side vehicle body mounting plates 63, deformations produced in the synthetic resin lower column 10 and an upper bracket 60 are small.
