PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact pressure adjusting apparatus for an intaglio printing press enabling optimal automatic adjustment of a contact pressure of a wiping roll in accordance with surface temperature of the wiping roll, room temperature and printing time.SOLUTION: The surface temperature of the wiping roll 20 and room temperature are detected, and in accordance with the detected surface temperature of the wiping roll 20 and room temperature, a reference load of a wiping roll drive motor 40 is corrected. Driving of a motor 30 for adjusting the wiping roll contact pressure is controlled so that a load of the wiping roll drive motor 40 becomes equal to the corrected reference load. |
