PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backload horn speaker capable of issuing a soft and comfortable bass tone. SOLUTION: A substantially horn shape sound route (24) is formed by partitioning the inner part of an enclosure (3) by sound guide walls (14-23) in a backload horn type speaker (1). The enclosure (3) is formed to have a semi-circular box shape by a rectangular plate-like front wall (5) where a speaker unit (2) is attached to and a horn opening (4) is formed, semi-circular arcuate side walls (6, 7) attached to the both right and left ends of the front wall (5), and a rear wall (8) attached to the outer peripheral end edges of the side walls (6, 7) and having a semi-circular arcuate cross section. The circular arcuate sound guide wall (23), which communicates with the horn opening (4) by gradually increasing its width along the rear wall (8) is formed inside the enclosure (3).
