PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable crane capable of effectively controlling the vertical or horizontal deflection of a boom even in its compact crane structure and attaining a big lifting capacity. SOLUTION: The movable crane, which has the telescopic boom 5 retractably mounted on a swivel base loaded on a traveling vehicle body 1, includes a left winch 14L and a right winch 14R carried on the swivel base, and a tension controller that controls the tensions of the right/left ropes 20L, 20R with the right/left winches 14L, 14R, wherein the left rope 20L that is extended from the left winch 14L and the right rope 20R that is extended from the right winch 14R are bonded to a boom tip section. The tension controller includes a deflection detector 60 that detects the vertical and/or horizontal deflected amounts of the telescopic boom 5 and a controller 50 that corrects a deflected amount to a permissible value or less by driving any of the right/left winches 14R, 14L, is provided.
