PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the positional relation between an operation part and a plug lid and others relatively freely while achieving downsizing of the operation part. SOLUTION: A drain plug device 1 is provided with a plug lid 45 provided on a drain port 104, a support shaft 42 supporting the plug lid 45 and vertically movable, an operation part 2 that is provided on a tank or others such as a lavatory 100 and having a movable member 22 displaceable to the tank or others, and a transmission member 3 transmitting displacement in the movable member 22 to the support shaft 42. The movable member 22 is formed to be rotatable relative to the tank or others with its central axis as a rotation axis. The transmission member 3 is formed to be rotatable with its central axis as a rotation axis while one end part of the transmission member 3 situated at the side of the support shaft 42 is formed to be displaceable relative to the tank by rotation of the movable member 22. The relative displacement in one end part of the transmission member 3 accompanying the rotation of the movable member 22 causes the support shaft 42 to move vertically, allowing the drain port 104 to open and close.
