PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device not allowing frequent misdetections even under an environment where a variety of sounds similar to an abnormal sound exist. SOLUTION: The abnormality detection device includes a sound collecting part for acquiring a sound signal being generated in a monitoring area, a sound analysis part for analyzing the sound signal collected by the sound collecting part and detecting a predefined abnormal sound, an imaging part for sequentially acquiring images of an area covering a monitoring area, an image analysis part for extracting person images from the images and calculating the number of the person images, an abnormality determination part for determining an abnormal state in the monitoring area based on the abnormal sound detection result obtained by the sound analysis part and the number of the person images calculated by the image analysis part, and an output part for outputting the determination result obtained by the abnormality determination part. The abnormality detection part determines an abnormal state when the image analysis part detects multiple person images while the sound analysis part determines that it is the predefined abnormal sound.
