PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file system capable of recovering a file by using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A file system according to the present invention is configured as below. The file system includes: a cache memory to temporarily store actual data and meta data of a file; a writing processing part to write the actual data and the meta data of the file on the cache memory onto an auxiliary storage; a file accessing part to access to the actual data of the file on the basis on the meta data; and a startup identification information acquisition part to acquire startup identification information that is issued from an information processing apparatus itself in which the file system is structured and different at every startup of the information processing apparatus. The writing processing part writes the actual data and the meta data of the file onto the auxiliary storage, adds the startup identification information that has been issued from the information processing apparatus itself and a writing completion information to identify an actual data part of the file that is completely written onto the auxiliary storage to the meta data of the file, and stores the meta data in the auxiliary storage.
