PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rich-lean combustion burner which can supply a lean mixture and a rich mixture to a lean flame hole and a rich flame hole in a simple structure, and surely supplying a necessary mixture without being contradictory to weight reduction even when rich and lean flame holes are combined in a multiplex manner. SOLUTION: A rich flame hole row 33 is arranged in the center, rows 34 and 34 of lean flame holes are arranged on both sides of the rich flame hole row 33, and in addition, rows 35 and 35 of rich flame holes are arranged on both the outsides of the lean flame hole rows 34 and 34, in order. A lean mixture is supplied to the lean flame hole rows 34 and 34 from a tubular part 36. The end of a central rich burner 3a is projected in a tubular part 38 into which a rich mixture is introduced, and communication holes 61 and 61 communicating with an inner space 62 are opened therein. In addition, communication holes 41 and 41 communicating with an inner space 51 connected to one outer rich flame hole 35, and communication holes 41 and 41 communicating with an inner space 52 connected to the other outside rich flame hole row 35, are opened in the tubular part 38.
