The test data unit (1) is adapted to be played back in the playback device (8) for playing back audio data. The test data unit (1) comprises a plurality of files (2) comprising audio data adapted to be played back as an audio signal, the audio data of each file (3) comprising an identification section (4) identifying the file (3), wherein the identification section (4) is configured to be played back by the playback device (8) as said audio signal, wherein the played back audio signal of the identification section (4) allows an identification of said identification section (4) of the file (3).
