<p>The present invention relates to a device for driving light emitting diodes and, more specifically, to a device for driving light emitting diodes, capable of consecutively driving light emitting diodes. The device comprises: a light emitting unit which includes multiple light emitting diodes connected in series and has at least one group; a rectifying unit to rectify alternating current power to supply an output voltage to the light emitting unit; at least one capacitor which is respectively connected, in parallel, to the groups of the light emitting unit; and a driving control unit to selectively drive at least one group of the light emitting unit according to a size of the output voltage of the rectifying unit and to drive at least one group of the light emitting unit using discharging currents of the capacitors if the output voltage is lower than an operation voltage of the light emitting unit.</p> |
