<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting a steel strip welding joint part in manufacture of a butt-welded steel tube capable of detecting accurately a joint part of a product defective part, to control precisely quality, and capable of reducing an abrasion loss of an edge roll generated by passing the joint part through the edge roll. <P>SOLUTION: The generation of an impact load 7 (or 8) at the time when a steel strip is passed through each edge roll is detected using the edge rolls 1, 3 installed in front of a heating furnace and for rolling a steel strip 4 width-directional end part, and a generation position of the detected impact load is identified as the steel strip welding joint part 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
