<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material which is produced in a simple and highly productive method and which has stable battery characteristics (particularly, a high capacity). <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the positive electrode material for a lithium ion battery includes a step of mixing a raw material including a Li compound, a Mn compound, a Ni compound, and a Co compound, if necessary, to form a mixture, a step of firing the mixture at 900-1,000°C to form a fired product, and a step of giving heat treatment to the fired product at 600-800°C under an inert gas atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
