The invention is directed to a device for making popcorn in a cooking vessel, in particular a cooking pot, comprising an elongate stirring device that includes a handle at the upper end of the shaft thereof for manually guiding the stirring device, and a scraping device at the lower end of the shaft for loosening popcorn stuck to the bottom of the cooking vessel, and a flexible heat-resistant hood which is pulled over the edge of the cooking vessel and which has an opening through which the shaft of the stirring device is inserted so that the handle of the shaft is situated above the flexible hood, while the scraping device is situated below same. |
