Disclosed are a peak detecting apparatus and a method for symbol timing synchronization estimate. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a peak detecting apparatus includes: a cross correlation part which calculates a cross correlation value in regards to a reception signal; and a comparison determination part which compares a calculated cross correlation value with a first threshold value and a second threshold value, and determines whether it is a peak value or not. |
