A radio frequency identification (RFID) antenna comprises an arcuate plate having a recess disposed about the perimeter and a conductive wire disposed within the recess, characterized in that the conductive wire extends about the perimeter through multiple turns. The antenna may be used to facilitate tracking and management of oil and gas equipment.
