PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tire using a thermoplastic resin material to increase elastic modulus and reduce rolling resistance, and to provide the tire produced by the method. SOLUTION: The method for producing the tire comprises: a kneading step of kneading a raw material thermoplastic resin material including thermoplastic elastomer having a hard segment and a soft segment in one molecule thereof, for 10-30 minutes with 100-1,000 J/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>shear energy; and a tire skeletal body formation step of forming a tire skeletal body from the kneaded thermoplastic resin material obtained in the kneading step.
