The present invention relates to compounds of formulae I and II;
wherein the variables are as defined herein. These compounds are capable of modulating tyrosine kinase signal transduction in order to regulate, modulate and/or inhibit abnormal cell proliferation.

A compound represented by general formula I: wherein X is —C(O)NR19— wherein R19 is hydrogen or alkyl; R1 is selected from the group consisting of H, NH2, SR20, and S(O)R20; R2 is hydrogen; R3 is hydrocarbyl or substituted hydrocarbyl having at least 5 carbon atoms and selected from the group consisting of carbocyclic alkyl, alkyl (straight or branched chain), and carbocyclic aryl; each R20 independently is H or alkyl; Z1 is (CR4R5)n; Z2 is (CR6R7)m; Y is N; n is 2; m is 1; Ar1 is selected from the group consisting of phenyl, pyridyl, benzopyridyl, imidazolyl, thiazolyl, and oxazolyl; and each R4, R5, R6 and R7 are independently hydrogen; or a racemic mixture or enantiomer of said compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
