The present invention relates to a method for modifying the surface of a material to have the ultra-hydrophobic surface, which comprises the steps of: a) coating the surface of the material with polydopamine; b) forming titanium dioxide layer on the polydopamine coated layer formed on the surface of the material; and c) coating the titanium dioxide layer with a compound containing fluorine, to a material including the ultra-hydrophobic surface manufactured by the same; and to applications of the same.
