摘要 A low-power light-emitting device which can be manufactured in simple steps and is suitable for increasing definition and the size of a substrate is provided. The light-emitting device includes a layer for blocking visible light; a conductive layer that partly overlaps with the layer for blocking visible light; a color filter layer that includes an opening over the layer for blocking visible light; a first electrode layer for transmitting visible light that is connected to the conductive layer through the opening, over the color filter layer; an insulating partition over the first electrode layer overlapping with the opening; a layer containing an organic compound over the first electrode layer and the partition; and a second electrode layer over the layer containing an organic compound. The layer containing an organic compound includes a layer containing a donor substance and an acceptor substance and a layer containing a light-emitting organic compound.

A light-emitting device comprising: a substrate for transmitting visible light; a conductive layer for blocking visible light over the substrate; a color filter layer including an opening over the conductive layer; a first electrode layer for transmitting visible light over the color filter layer, the first electrode layer connected to the conductive layer in the opening; an insulating partition for blocking visible light over the first electrode layer and overlapping with the opening; an electroluminescence layer over the first electrode layer and the insulating partition; and a second electrode layer over the electroluminescence layer, wherein the electroluminescence layer includes a layer containing a donor substance and an acceptor substance and a layer containing a light-emitting organic compound, wherein the conductive layer for blocking visible light comprises a metal layer, wherein in a region exposed in the opening of the color filter layer, the metal layer is not provided between the substrate and the first electrode layer, wherein a region of the electroluminescence layer which overlaps with the insulating partition and the opening of the color filter emits light when a voltage is applied between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and wherein the insulating partition is configured to block the light emitted from the region of the electroluminescence layer.
