a connector comprising a layer of insulating material sandwiched between first and second conducting layers and having formed therein a recess that extends through the first conducting layer and the insulating layer to expose a region of the second conducting layer; and a semiconducting light source having first and second electrical contacts for receiving power that excites the light source to emit light; wherein the light source seats in the recess and has the first electrical contact electrically connected to the first conducting layer and the second electrical contact electrically connected to the exposed region of the second conducting layer. |
