<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a marking device and method that can continuously mark a prescribed rendering pattern in an unsmeared state and that can increase productivity, even with a subject-of-marking (10) that is continuously conveyed. A marking device (1) for marking a rendering pattern on a subject-of-marking (10), wherein the following are provided: a conveyance unit (2) for continuously conveying the subject-of-marking (10) in a first direction; a marking unit first moving unit (5) for moving a marking unit (4) in a first direction and a marking unit second moving unit (6) for moving the marking unit (4) in a second direction; and a marking position correcting unit (45). The marking device is characterized by being provided with an integrated control unit (95) for controlling a marking position overlap control unit (91) and a synchronous movement control unit (93), and while the subject-of-marking (10) is continuously conveyed in the first direction, for emitting marking light-rays (47) for a prescribed amount of time at the same position on the object-of-marking in the first direction and the second direction.</p> |
