The present invention relates to a method for identifying meat (goat, sheep, horse and turkey) and a kit therefor, and more specifically, to a method for promptly and accurately identifying meat using primers which can amplifying a site specifically located on the genome DNA of each species producing meat and does not react with the genome DNA of the other species except the corresponding species, and to a kit therefor. The method for identifying meat of the present invention can accurately and promptly identify the origin of the meat, that is, which animal among goat, sheep, horse, and turkey produces the meat, even for a meat processed product of which meat is too crushed or processed to be identified. In addition, the kit for identifying meat of the present invention allows the method for identifying meat of the present invention to be easily performed, and thus even the non-expert can very promptly and accurately perform a work of identifying raw materials of meat products on the market or the like, and further the present invention is expected to be greatly helpful to eradicate faking raw materials of meat products and the like.
