selecting a set of signatures of the at least one tracked object; selecting a set of signatures of a hyperspectral image template that correspond to the set of signatures of the at least one tracked object; establishing the absolute values of the differences between the values of pixels in the set of signatures of the at least one tracked object and the values of pixels in the set of signatures of the hyperspectral image template; establishing a matching degree by subtracting from one the difference between a highest absolute value and a smallest absolute value; and normalizing the matching degree to the number of pixels of the at least one tracked object image to determine a confidence level of how close the image of the at least one tracked object matches the hyperspectral image template.
