PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold gripping device that enables mold gripping with a gripping member moved by a right-hand screw and a left-handed screw in the direction of approaching and leaving each other to be performed with a constantly proper gripping force.SOLUTION: A mold gripping device, used for a mold changing device that changes molds in punch press, comprises a pair of nut member 41A, 41B screwed with a rotatably installed screw rod 17 so as to approach and leave each other: the pair of nut member 41A, 41B are equipped with gripping members 11A, 11B, equipped with mold gripping members 13A, 13B, respectively, to keep at least one of the gripping members 11A, 11B installed so as to be movable relatively with respect to the nut member 41B, equipped with the gripping member 11B, and movement detection means 47 to detect the relative movement of the gripping member 11B as well, thereby keeping an elastic member 43B interposed between the nut member 41B and the gripping member 11B. |
