PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of a passivation treatment of a stainless steel component, in a method for passivation treatment of the stainless steel component.SOLUTION: A method for passivation treatment of a stainless steel component includes an application step (S12) for applying an acidic aqueous solution containing hydrogen peroxide and a thickener onto the surface of the stainless steel component, and a drying step (S14) for forming a passive film on the surface of the stainless steel component by drying the stainless steel component onto which the acidic aqueous solution is applied.
