PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create wide field images suitable for the feature of images.SOLUTION: A center creation unit performs scaling processing on an input image on the basis of the feature of the input image to create an image of the central area of a screen. A periphery creation unit performs extrapolation of the image of the central area to create an image of the peripheral area that is the area on the periphery of the central area of the screen. A combining unit combines the image of the central area and the image of the peripheral area to create a composite image. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to an image processing apparatus creating wide field images. |
