PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor having an improved sealability due to a powder filling member when the gas sensor is used at a high temperature.SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes: a cylindrical main metal fitting; a sensor element held in the main metal fitting; a powder filling component 6 that is filled between the inner surface of the main metal fitting and the outer surface of the sensor element and seals the clearance between the main metal fitting and sensor element. The repulsion rate expressed by (H2-H1)/H1 is 0.10 or more, where H1 shows the height in one direction when the powder filling component 6 is filled into a space compressible in the one direction and the space is compressed by a pressure of 480 MPa, and H2 shows the height in one direction when the pressure is removed. |
