<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver circuit of backlight of a liquid crystal display device, in which a PWM signal for brightness adjustment is not required when brightness adjustment of an LED, used as a backlight, is not required.SOLUTION: A driver circuit 3 for driving an LED backlight 5 of a liquid crystal display device includes a determination unit 31 for receiving a PWM signal 6 from a control circuit 2, determining whether or not the duty of the PWM signal 6 satisfies a preset value, outputting a preset brightness adjustment signal 7 if the duty of the PWM signal 6 does not satisfies the set value, otherwise outputting a brightness adjustment signal 7 corresponding to the PWM signal 6 thus inputted, and a drive current output unit 32 for receiving the brightness adjustment signal 7 from the determination unit 31 and supplying a drive current 8 corresponding to the brightness adjustment signal 7 to the LED backlight 5. Consequently, when the brightness adjustment of an LED used as a backlight is not required, a PWM signal for brightness adjustment is not required.</p> |
