<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure excellent transferability regardless of a contact state between an intermediate transfer belt 3a and a primary transfer member 400.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor drum 1Ya for carrying a toner image; a circulating endless intermediate transfer belt 3a; a primary transfer member 400 facing the photoreceptor drum 1Ya, arranged to slide on an inner circumferential surface of the intermediate transfer belt 3a, and transferring the toner image carried on the photoreceptor drum 1Ya to the intermediate transfer belt 3a; a transfer member support body 43 which supports the primary transfer member 400 and positions the primary transfer member 400 with respect to the photoreceptor drum 1Ya; an elastic body 45 which presses the primary transfer member 400 toward the photoreceptor drum 1Ya; and an elastic body support body 46 which supports the elastic body 45 and positions the elastic body 45 with respect to the photoreceptor drum 1Ya. The transfer member support body 43 and the elastic body support body 46 are separated from each other so as not to interact with each other.</p> |
